Banking on Shared Value – The Bendigo Pathway

The 2018 National Sustainability in Business Conference will be held next week over Thursday 8 and Friday 9 March at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Brisbane.

Kate Wakeling, State Community Manager – Queensland at Bendigo Bank joins us next week at the Conference as a Keynote Speaker and will present ‘Banking on Shared Value – The Bendigo Pathway’.

Banking on Shared Value – The Bendigo Pathway

  • Shared Value is a concept now gaining global momentum, although it has been central to the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank strategy for its entire 160 year history.
  • With big banks, big business and our institutions such as churches and parliaments on the nose, how have Bendigo managed to build a business that their loyal customers love and trust?
  • Hear about the history and development of the Community Bank® model, its integral place in Bendigo’s DNA and the bank’s (apparent, but not so sudden!) arrival on the crest of the next major transformative wave of business thinking.
  • With award after award for customer satisfaction, customer service and with multiple accolades for great value, affordable products and a full range of customer services, it’s worth discovering  how Bendigo are doing well by doing good.
  • Bendigo has recently been recognized as a global leader by FORTUNE magazine in the 2017 ‘Change the World’ list, which highlights the work of corporations including social benefit as a core part of their business.
  • Learn how innovative and sustainable business models and alliances continue to evolve within the Bendigo and Adelaide Group with Community Sector Banking, Alliance Bank® and the new University Community Bank® servicing niche sectors and communities.
  • The concept of feeding into community prosperity, rather than off it, is fundamental in all we do…. and we are very proud that we have been asked to share our story with you!
