Ms Suellen Fitzgerald, Executive Director at Western Sydney Parklands Trust joins us this month to discuss ‘Creating Sustainable Community Lands in Western Sydney.’
Suellen Fitzgerald, Executive Director, Western Sydney Parklands Trust will discuss the opportunities for activating long vacant public lands on the urban fringe of one of Australia’s most dynamic cities and the challenges that these lands can present. In particular she will focus on the Trust’s strategies to build a self-sustaining financial model, to create an agricultural future in the city, to generate jobs and employment close to home, and to restore the environmental and scenic qualities for the next generation in Western Sydney.
The 2017 National Sustainability in Business Conference will bring together leading academics, thought leaders, opinion makers and industry experts to deliberate and discuss sustainability issues confronting Australia.
